Cosmetologist - Evening - Meridian Tech

There’s more to this profession than cut and color. In this adult-only evening program you will explore the science behind bringing out beauty! You’ll begin with time in the classroom gaining foundational skills for hair, skin and nail services. Before you know it, you’ll be behind the chair gaining hands-on experience in Meridian’s full-service salon and spa that is open to the public. Upon completion of the program, students are prepared to take the Oklahoma State Board of Cosmetology licensing exam.

Adult students attend in the evening. The program takes approximately 18 months to complete. The daytime Cosmetology program is for high school students only.

Get out of the classroom and into the real world with projects such as:

  • Working with clients in our fully operational salon
  • Lending your talents to prepare models for local fashion shows or plays

Entrance Requirements

Applicants must be 18 years old and have a high school diploma or pass a high school equivalency test.

Prospective adult students are required to complete an application and submit appropriate documentation to the Cosmetology program for consideration of acceptance. Admission is based on a point system. Points are earned for test scores, letter of recommendation, interview, education, career plans, career interest, and work/hobby experience in the field. This program is designed for students who intend to pursue a career in Cosmetology.

Class Times: Monday – Thursday  4:00 – 10:00 pm  year-round.
Applications are accepted three times a year with classes beginning in the fall, winter and spring.
