On January 30, the Meridian Technology Center for Business Development will host a lunchtime workshop for the Entrepreneurs Operating System: Traction. Attendees will leave the session with a complete set of simple concepts and practical tools that have helped thousands of entrepreneurs get what they want from their business.
Based on the book “Traction” by Gino Wickman, implementing EOS will help you and your leadership team get better at three things:
“EOS traction gave us an operating system and improved our processes,” said Drew Beverage, the VP of Business Development/Operations for ProValue.Net. He described how it has helped the family owned business make sure they have the right people in the right positions, discover new ways to expand their company and reclaim their time face-to-face with a new structure for meetings. “We used to hate our weekly meetings and now we all love them — we feel lost when we don’t have them,” he said.
“You may think you know what your business is, but when you actually go through the [EOS] process and put pen to paper, it helps you to reevaluate everything,” said Beverage.
The workshop will be led by James Bygland, who has over 30 years of expertise in software, financial services, technology and consulting companies. Bygland has served in various capacities on the leadership teams of large, public companies as well as small, entrepreneurial companies. Each of these roles strengthened his trademark of building high performing teams that are able to consistently work toward achieving a company’s vision while ensuring that day-to-day operations are handled effectively.
Bygland’s career involvement has led him to his passion for working with teams to implement solutions that improve their customer experience and achieve a company’s strategic vision.
The session will be held from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the Center for Business Development. Registration is $15 and includes lunch. Space is limited. For full details and to register visit meridiantech.edu/eos or call (405) 377-2220.
