Center for Business Development to Host Event for Business Owners: Commercial Buildings: Build, Buy or Renovate
October 25, 2018

Business owners want their company to grow. But what happens when it outgrows its current space?

“When you’re considering to build new, renovate an existing building or rent additional space, there are a lot of things to consider when a business needs to expand,” said Jason Mayes, Project Manager for Lopp Construction, a Stillwater-based concrete construction company that specializes in the repair and new construction of private, industrial and municipal entities.

In addition to examining the most economical decision for the company, business owners need to know how to control construction costs, work with inspectors and obtain the proper permits, according to Mayes.

On November 14, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Mayes will address these issues and more during “Commercial Buildings: Build, Buy or Renovate,” an informational session he will lead through the Meridian Technology Center for Business Development.

Mayes specializes in commercial construction in Payne County and beyond. He graduated with a master’s in civil engineering from OSU and is a LEED Accredited Professional. Mayes has extensive experience in commercial building construction and consulting on four continents. He is currently supervising Lopp Construction’s work on the new Amazon fulfillment center in Tulsa.

Registration for “Commercial Buildings: Build, Buy or Renovate” is $15 and includes lunch. Seating is limited. Online registration is available here.
