Business Structures – What’s Best for You
November 1, 2017

Are you certain that your company is operating under the best business structure?

Selecting the right structure for your business can increase its chance of success from both a financial and operational standpoint.

Stillwater attorney Kevin Wisner specializes in assisting businesses to operate under the most beneficial structure for their company. During the November 16 Business for Breakfast event Wisner will provide an overview of the most common business frameworks including sole proprietorships, partnerships, limited liability companies and corporations, focusing on:

  • Pros and cons of the most popular business structures
  • Tax and legal ramifications of each type
  • How to modify an existing business structure

He will also discuss the utilization of online forms, their viability to Oklahoma business entities and offer insight on when it’s safe to do-it-yourself and when it’s best to seek legal counsel.

Wisner received his undergraduate degree from Northeastern State University and worked as an engineering project manager for an Oklahoma civil engineering firm prior to receiving his juris doctorate from the University of Oklahoma. His legal practice specializes in small business formation and continuance, mergers and acquisitions, contract negotiations, transactional projects, estate planning and adoption law. He finds great reward in assisting entrepreneurs as they bring their vision to fruition and assisting them throughout their business cycle.
