Staff Development Opportunities
The Meridian Technology Center Board of Education encourages staff to take part in professional development. Opportunities are made available and supported by the school for employees to attend classes, workshops, seminars and conferences related to the employee’s area of responsibility.
Employee Fitness/Exercise Facility
We know healthy employees are happy employees. Meridian provides an on-site fitness facility that is available for employees and their family members to use. Spouses of current employees and current board members may use the facility when accompanied by the employee or board member. Additionally, children of an employee or board member who are 16 and older may use the facility when accompanied by the employee.
Educational Assistance Plan
In order to encourage growth and self-development, Meridian Technology Center provides financial assistance to full- and part-time employees by reimbursement of approved educational courses taken at accredited institutions. Meridian’s Educational Assistance Plan provides reimbursement of up to $1,500 per year. Courses must be related to the employee’s current or future job duties at Meridian Technology Center.
HealthChoice medical insurance is provided for full-time employees. Health insurance is available for employees to purchase for their dependents within the first 30 days of employment. Coverage is effective on the first day of the second month of employment.
HealthChoice dental insurance is provided for full-time employees. Dental insurance is available for employees to purchase for their dependents within the first 30 days of employment. Coverage is effective on the first day of the second month of employment.
Employees may choose to purchase vision insurance.
Employees may choose to purchase basic life insurance as well as supplemental and age-rated life insurance.
Flexible Benefits Plan
The Flexible Benefits Plan allows employees to set aside money on a pre-tax basis for out-of-pocket medical, dental, vision and dependent care expenses for a benefit year as permitted by Section 125 of the Internal Revenue Service. The reimbursement plans include:

Meridian Technology Center provides full-time employees with paid contributions to the Oklahoma Teachers’ Retirement System at a rate of 7% of the employee’s salary.
