Whether you are an individual, financial institution, retailer, organizational entity, adult or child, it is important to know how to protect yourself and others from becoming a victim of identity theft.
In partnership with First National Bank of Weatherford, Meridian Technology Center is offering this free event, including lunch, however, you must register to attend.

On January 23, Matt Pannell, a former special agent with the United States Treasury and Social Security Administration, will present “Identity Theft is Real” as part of a partnership between Meridian Technology Center and the First National Bank of Weatherford.
With over three decades of experience as a special agent with the United States Treasury and the Social Security Administration, Matt brings a first-hand perspective to fraud, identity theft and financial crimes. Over the years, Matt has developed specialized expertise in identity and synthetic identity theft, investigating and supporting federal prosecutions across complex networks of individuals involved in these fraud schemes. Hear the personal stories behind the data and learn how vulnerabilities are being exploited to take advantage of individuals, financial institutions, retailers and others from a special agent with a passion for helping consumers and businesses protect themselves from becoming victims of identity theft.
Joining Matt is this session is Howard Frankenfield, VP/CIO/ISO for FNB of Weatherford. Howard will share his expertise in social engineering, phishing, and best practices for keeping your data secure.
