8th Grade Discovery Day | December 1, 2021

Narrowing down your interests, focusing on what you’re good at and deciding on your future career is not an easy decision, no matter what age you are. That’s why we’re excited to help students get an early start. Discovery Day on the Meridian Technology Center campus is the perfect way to introduce 8th-graders to a variety of future careers.

We’re inviting you to join us in sharing about what makes your career engaging and to encourage our future workforce in their career exploration. Here’s what to anticipate at Discovery Day:

  • 1,000+ students excited to discover what their future career could be like. View our photo album from a previous Discovery Day.
  • An opportunity to share what makes your career meaningful. Students engage best with an interactive booth.
  • Breakfast, lunch, snacks, soft drinks, water and coffee.

We’ll have two different sessions:
Morning: 9 a.m. – 11 a.m.
Afternoon: 12 p.m. – 2 p.m.

Booths are 10’ X 10’ and will include partitions, one banquet-size table, two chairs and a trash can. Electricity is available; however, you must furnish your own extension cords. Setup time is from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, November 30 or 7:30 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. on Wednesday, December 1. Booth materials should be removed on Wednesday, December 1 by 5 p.m.
