Train for a career as a Medical Coding Specialist and play a key role in a hospital, clinic or doctor’s office. In addition to learning the International Classification of Diseases (ICD) and Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) coding principles, you’ll also learn basic medical office procedures and medical insurance claim processing. The Patient Account Specialist area of study focuses on maintaining patients’ records using electronic scheduling and billing. This program also trains on medical office procedures and medical insurance claim processing.
New classes start monthly. Program orientation will take place on the 15th of each month and students will begin on the first day of the following month. When the 15th falls on a weekend orientation will take place the following Monday.
