MTC Graduation Set for May 21; Two Ceremony Times to Recognize Student Success
May 6, 2019

More than 350 students from Meridian Technology Center will be recognized for completing their training during the school’s upcoming graduation.

Meridian will hold two ceremonies to recognize student achievement at the Wes Watkins Center at Oklahoma State University on May 21.  Students who attend Tech in the morning session will graduate at 5:30 p.m. A second ceremony will be held at 7:30 p.m. for afternoon students and full-time adult students.

In addition to students who are completing their career training, Meridian will recognize students who have maintained high academic standards throughout the school year and are members of National Technical Honor Society, the Leadership Class and Outstanding Students from each program area.

“Student success is something we are proud to celebrate,” said Superintendent/CEO Dr. Douglas Major. “Students who complete their career training at Meridian continue to higher education or a job related to their program of study at a rate of more than 90 percent. Whether students are college or career bound, we know their decision to attend Meridian is a meaningful step on their journey to success, and we are excited to share this moment with them.”

Students attending Meridian can choose from one of more than 20 programs. High school students living in the Meridian district attend tuition-free in either a morning or afternoon session and training takes approximately two years. Adults can attend full time or part time and typically complete programs in one or two years.
