Key Conversations is a series that brings together aspiring filmmakers and Oklahoma’s most experienced industry professionals. Through personal anecdotes and experiences, professionals will inspire and motivate participants to pursue their passion for filmmaking, emphasizing the importance of perseverance, creativity, and resilience in the face of challenges.
Each session of Key Conversation will highlight a department or a crew position that is needed to help Oklahoma build a stronger crew base to support the state’s growing film industry. Following the Q&A, attendees will have an opportunity to network with each other and the featured speaker.

Adam Ropp is a distinguished film producer from Oklahoma, rising to prominence alongside the flourishing success of The Oklahoma Film Enhancement Rebate Program. Ropp’s notable works include “Ghosts 2023,” “Secrets Beneath the Floorboards 2023,” and “Black Bags 2023.” Future projects include “For the Love of Mine” “Fade Em Up” and “Jonah: The Journey There.” Adam is the Executive Producer for “Sovereign,” a film that is currently in production featuring Nick Offerman, Dennis Quaid, and Jacob Tremlay. The film is set for a major theatrical release this October. The true story focuses on the 2010 Memphis political murders, exploring their tragic events. Adam spent more than two years working to bring this story to screen.
On a personal level, Adam has been instrumental in helping with the development of Meridian’s film industry training courses. He has transitioned from a trusted industry advisor to a personal friend. Adam has also mentored countless young filmmakers through speaking engagements at various colleges in Oklahoma as well as offering internships and apprenticeships through his production company Red Brick Productions.

Jordan Wilson is an Oklahoma-based filmmaker and first assistant director. While working towards a degree in Digital Cinema Production from Oklahoma City Community College, she began working as a production assistant on shows such as “American Ninja Warrior” and “The Girl Who Believes in Miracles.”
After graduating, Jordan was offered her first job as a second assistant director for the film “Love on Repeat” before going to work on other Oklahoma-made features, including “Golden Arm” and “Ike Boys” while also beginning to work as a first assistant director on shorts and commercials. In 2019, Jordan began working as a first assistant director full-time. Since then, she has had the pleasure of working on a number of indie and studio films that have appeared on Netflix, Lifetime, Lifetime Movie Network, and Amazon Prime.

Alison Naifeh is a seasoned Locations Manager based in Oklahoma, renowned for her work on major film productions such as “Twister”, “Stillwater”, and “Twisters”. With a deep knowledge of Oklahoma’s diverse landscapes and urban environments, Alison excels at finding and managing locations that align perfectly with the creative vision of each project. Her work on these high-profile films has showcased her ability to handle complex logistical challenges while maintaining a strong focus on detail and organization. Alison’s efforts have not only contributed to the success of these productions but have also played a significant role in elevating Oklahoma’s profile as a premier filming destination.

Valerie Parker is a distinguished Costume Designer based in Yukon, Oklahoma, with a robust portfolio in the film industry. Her notable works include the Lifetime films “Tracking a Killer” and “How I Met Your Murderer”, as well as Netflix’s “Hostage House”. Valerie’s expertise extends to other significant projects like “A Country Romance” and “Warren’s Gold”. Known for her ability to enhance character development through costume design, Valerie has become a key figure in Oklahoma’s growing film scene, consistently delivering exceptional work on every project.

Toni Marlo is a professional makeup artist, licensed esthetician, and the owner and co-founder of MarloHaus Makeup and Hair in Oklahoma City.
As one of the state’s most sought makeup artists, Toni has worked on over 50 feature films and television. She’s led the Department of Makeup for over 29 of those projects. She is also on the committee of Oklahoma Motion Picture Alliance, where she, along with other industry leaders, advocate for Oklahoma’s fast-growing film community. During her career, Toni has traveled nationally and internationally as a celebrity hair and makeup artist.
