Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Tests products to ensure conformance with Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs), applicable industry standards and specific customer requirements. This activity includes: Diagnoses/Troubleshoots failing products, generates repair processing, and suggests corrective actions. Documents results of each test performed. Maintains Test Equipment. Provides Engineering Support. Trains new Test Technicians. Collects or selects samples for testing or for use as models.
Basic Qualifications: Ability to distinguish color. Background/Credit Check is required. Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident (no sponsorship). Must be able to pass Drug/Alcohol Test.
Post-Secondary Education: Two-year technical degree or equivalent training and experience
Related work experience required: (5) years electronics test experience. The ability to learn to read and understand technical drawings. Ability to troubleshoot to component level. Proficient in use of computer and software to include MS Office; ability to gain proficiency in CostPoint and other relevant software systems.
Special skills or abilities required: Must be able to follow instructions and pay attention to detail. Works in a positive, cooperative, and respectful manner to proactively respond to the needs of internal and external customers. Complies with assigned work schedules and overtime requests required to fulfill program and organizational objectives. Frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping, walking, sitting, finger dexterity, feeling, repetitive motions, talking, hearing, and visual acuity. Frequent lifting (up to 30 pounds).
Additional Education/Experience/Skills preferred: Experience programming and operating thermal chambers, vibration systems and/or thermal vacuum systems. Ability to utilize experience and vendor manuals to determine maintenance and operating instructions for environmental stress screening equipment. Reviews ATPs for accuracy, ease of execution and suggests/proposes alternate methods of obtaining desired test results.
