Quality Engineer

Primary Function

Primary Duties/Responsibilities: Ensure that all quality requirements are met per customer contract, and FES quality system requirements throughout the lifecycle of a program, including design/development, procurement, and receipt of parts/materials, production assembly/test/inspection, product documentation, first article inspection, physical and functional configuration audits, product/process verification, and final product sell-off that may include presentation to customer and/or government source inspectors.

Required Skills

Basic Qualifications: Must be a United States citizen or Permanent Resident of the United States (no sponsorship). Background Check/Credit check required. Must be able to pass Drug/Alcohol Test administered in accordance with applicable state and federal laws.

Education: Bachelor’s degree or significant experience in a technical or related discipline.

Related work experience required: Familiarity with ISO9001/AS9100 quality systems operating in a technical environment. Experience with engineering design and manufacturing assembly/inspection processes. Experience resolving discrepancies through root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action implementation. Experience interacting with technical teams and internal/external customers.

Special skills or abilities required: Ability to learn CostPoint, TIPQA, and other relevant software systems. Excellent communication and writing skills. Adept in MS Office Suite including MS Word and MS Excel. Ability to focus attention on details of product characteristics and product documentation.

Hours

8 am – 5 pm Monday – Friday
