Primary Duties/Responsibilities: Responsible for serving as a technical resource for the Manufacturing Department in order to design, integrate, test and improve manufacturing systems or related processes. Refines product designs to increase producibility and decrease costs while incorporating efficient and accomplishable processes. Develops assembly and/or test work flow documentation. Provides technical expertise or support related to manufacturing and/or testing. Complies with assigned work schedules and overtime requests required to fulfill program and organizational objectives.
Basic Qualifications: Must be a United States citizen or Permanent Resident of the United States (no sponsorship). Ability to distinguish color. Visual acuity to 20/20 (corrected). Background/Credit Check is required. Must be able to pass Drug/Alcohol Test administered in accordance with applicable state and federal laws.
Education: College or above: Degree/major: B.S. in Engineering or Engineering Technology related discipline
Related work experience required: 1-5 years’ experience in an Electronics Manufacturing Environment. Knowledge of Circuit Card Assembly, Box Assembly, Surface Mount Technology, Ball Grid Array, Harnessing, Wiring, Tooling, and the establishment of Manufacturing Process Flows. Experience building electronic assemblies to meet high-reliability requirements. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and project management principles. Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
Special skills or abilities required: Proficient in MS Office applications. Ability to gain proficiency in CostPoint and other relevant FES software systems. Understands/utilizes engineering tools for PWB layout, circuit simulation, mechanical modeling, software development/documentation, etc. Identifies complex problems and reviews related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. Must be able to follow instructions and pay close attention to detail. Ability to accept supervisory critique and deal calmly and effectively with stressful situations. Job tasks are performed in close physical proximity to other people within a climate controlled environment. Frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping, walking, sitting, finger dexterity, feeling, repetitive motions, talking, and hearing. Frequent lifting (up to 75 pounds with assistance). Express in English, thoughts, comments, and information clearly, concisely, and articulately. Professionally communicate information and respond to internal/external customer requests in a respectful manner.

Additional Education/Experience/Skills preferred: Experience with Environmental Testing (Vibration and Temperature) with knowledge of hardware flow through test operations. Ability to maintain relevant up-to-date technical knowledge and individual judgement to determine whether events/processes comply with laws, regulation, and/or standards. Ability to develop/propose workable solutions to problems, researches and estimates cost of components/parts required within a scheduled time frame.
