Loan Assistant

Primary Function

Banking experience desired.  Under limited supervision, perform secretarial, clerical and administrative services, some of which are confidential and complex in nature, for one or more loan officers.  This position’s primary responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to, processing and assisting customers who request mortgage, commercial, consumer and other types of Loans.  Other duties include accepting and assisting with the loan application, loan closings, assisting loan officers and other lending personnel.  In addition, the position will include opening new accounts and general customer service responsibilities.

This position will work hand in hand with all of the lenders at FNB Weatherford, as well as the Loan processing staff and the loan Documentation staff.  They will answer phones, emails, work exceptions, close loans, contact customers, take payments, make advances, process deferrals and extensions, and will work daily in the loan documentation department as part of a rotation to backup the two employees in the department.

This position requires a positive attitude and willingness to communicate and perform professionally and courteously with management and the public.  Proficiency and competency of this position will be expected within 6-12 months.

SUPERVISOR:   Reporting to the EVP/CLO

Required Skills

Requires at least a high school education or its equivalent.  Provide prompt, efficient, and friendly service involving customers.  Typing, telephone and communication skills necessary.  Extensive computer knowledge required, and experience with Windows XP, Deposit Pro and Laser Pro experience useful.  Ability to learn quickly and juggle several tasks at the same time.  Must exercise accuracy, alertness, good judgment, courtesy, tact, and patience.  Follows the established bank policies and procedures for this position and follows the supervisor’s direction.



Salary Range

Commensurate with existing salary structure.
