Drafter/Designer - Meridian Tech

Primary Function

Takes CAD 3D models and produces final drawings, checking dimension of parts, materials to be used, relation of one part to another and relation of various parts to the assembly or project.
Review drawings for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with cited specifications.
Maintain all revisions of drawings, drafting log, and drawing to part relationships.
Develop 3D models by analyzing existing parts, prototypes, and 2D drawings.
Utilizes knowledge of various machines, engineering practices, mathematics, materials and other physical sciences to complete drawings.
Performs routine maintenance to engineering computer software.
Provides necessary specifications for costing of customer special product inquiries.

Required Skills

One-year certificate from college or technical school in CAD or one-year related
experience. AutoCad and 3D model experience required. Good working knowledge of
Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, and Internet technologies.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance
instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in
written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete
variables in standardized situations.
