DON

Primary Function

A Professional Nurse (RN) who is responsible for providing high quality care and nursing service for physically ill residents in a nursing home/assisted living facility, and for supervising nursing staff to accomplish the same. The DON is responsible for achieving and maintaining compliance of all Oklahoma State Department of Health regulations governing long term care facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience as a Director of Nursing and must demonstrate full and complete working knowledge of all applicable laws and regulations. The DON is responsible for overseeing all staff within the nursing department including LPN’s, Long Term Care Aides and Medication Aides. The Director of Nursing will work closely with the facility Administrator and will be expected to make and implement recommendations to improve all facets of the nursing department.

Required Skills

Requirements:

Knowledge of Oklahoma State Department of Health regulations governing long term care facilities
Experience performing routine assessments
Strong managerial skills
Current OK RN License
Minimum three years as an RN working in a long-term care or similar facility
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Customer-service oriented attitude
Must be able to pass criminal background check

Daytime shift

Salary Range

65,000-90,000

Salary dependent on experience.
