Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or appropriate certificate of training preferred.

Excellent human relations and communication skills required.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.

Excellent typing, composition and proofreading skills required.

Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize required.

Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy.

Essential Job Functions

 

  1. Perform receptionist tasks, i.e. answering telephone, greeting students and guests.
  2. Prepare and manage correspondence: emails, memos, letters, etc., as required.
  3. Prepare and submit reports required by the Oklahoma Department of Career & Technology Education.
  4. Maintain files for adjunct instructors, classes and documentation concerning programming.
  5. Enter and maintain information in the student information system for instructors, classes and students.
  6. Facilitate enrollment for short-term medical courses.
  7. Maintain current AEFL student information in LACES Literacy Pro reporting system.
  8. Maintain and place orders for instructional materials and supplies when necessary or requested.
  9. Coordinate with others on classroom assignments, update facilities calendar and prepare event sheets.
  10. Facilitate questions from current and prospective students for short-term medical courses.
  11. Prepare and manage invoicing for client memorandums of understanding, enrollment letters of authorization, interdepartmental transfers, etc.
  12. Act as an extension of the Bursar as needed.
  13. Prepare all contracts, requisitions, timesheets, and monthly payroll for adjunct instructors for short-term medical courses.
  14. Maintain and update American Heart Association files for all affiliated instructors, course materials and records, including participant eCards according to AHA guidelines.
  15. Cover switchboard for lunches/breaks as needed.
  16. Promote Meridian Technology Center, its programs and employees at every available opportunity.
  17. Abide by all policies and procedures adopted by the MTC Board of Education.
  18. Must be able to occasionally lift as much as 20 lbs. (copier paper and training materials).
  19. Attend staff meetings as requested by the Superintendent, Executive Director of Workforce and Economic Development, or the Director of Adult Training and Development.
  20. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Contract Length:

12-month position

 

Work Hours:

7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday – Friday

Standards of Performance

Administrative Professional, Adult Training and Development will be evaluated on the previously listed responsibilities based on Meridian Technology Center’s Performance Review Guidelines.  These evaluations will determine salary increases and career advancement possibilities.
