The City of Stillwater is currently accepting applications for Firefighter I/ EMT.
Candidates applying should be licensed as an EMT- A, EMT-I or EMT-P with one year of verifiable experience in EMS, Firefighting, Public Safety, Emergency Management or Military Service. Candidates applying as an EMT-B must have the ability to become licensed as an EMT-A within 18 months of employment; and should possess certifications as Firefighter 1 & 2, Haz-Mat Operations, NIMS 100, 200 700 and 800 or equivalent training through military service, IFSAC , Pro-Board, or an accredited university. All candidates must successfully complete the CPAT (CPAT is not required for members currently in the Oklahoma Firefighter Retirement System). Candidates must meet the eligibility requirements of the Oklahoma Firefighter Pension and Retirement System and pass an extensive background check prior to employment
56 hour workweek
$41,031.24 per year plus comprehensive benefits package
Starting rate: $41,031.24 per year for a 56 hour workweek with additional pay given for EMT-Intermediate or EMT-Paramedic certification and experience, and includes a competitive and comprehensive benefit package.
