Business and Education Council

Each career major area has a Business and Education Council. The Council includes business partners, employers, former students and sending school partners. Instructors hold a minimum of two meetings annually with their Council. Council members provide recommendations regarding changing needs in the industry including curriculum, equipment, new trends and technologies, software, on-the-job training opportunities, job placement and suggestions for “light-at-the-end-of-the-tunnel experiences" for our students. This allows the instructor to ensure his or her students have the employability skills needed upon graduation. To inquire about serving on a Council, please contact Program Administration at (405) 377-3333.
