Master the fundamentals of metal fabrication!

Bend it, but don’t break it. That could be the unofficial motto of the Precision Metal Fabrication program at Tech. This program specializes in advanced welding processes that are used to join, cut, bend, drill, punch and manipulate a variety of metal types. Using elements of traditional welding and fabrication techniques, students design and lay out patterns, interpret blueprints and meticulously follow engineering specifications to complete projects.

The completion of Meridian’s Welding program is a prerequisite for this program.

Level 2 expands on common welding and cutting techniques, including Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), Oxy-Fuel Cutting (OFC), Plasma Arc Cutting (PAC), and Air Carbon Arc Cutting (AAC). Gain hands-on experience with advanced equipment such as plate rolls, press brakes, and robotic welders. Graduates of Levels 1 and 2 are prepared to test for state welding certifications and excel in the precision metal fabrication industry.
