Health Careers
If you want a career in the medical profession, the Health Careers program is the place to start.
In addition to working and learning alongside medical professionals in both classroom and lab settings, students in this program can also graduate career-ready with the skills needed to complete the Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy, Limited Licensed Radiology Technician and Nurse Aide certifications.
Adult students could finish both the Medical Core courses and one of our paths of study in a single semester if enrolled as a full-time student (attending both in the morning and afternoon sessions).

Kickstart your nursing career with essential certifications!
In this hands-on program, students will gain the skills needed for a career as a Nurse Aide. You’ll learn how to assist patients with daily tasks, including hygiene, grooming, mobility, and safe use of assistive devices. Training includes taking vital signs, performing CPR, and preparing to support patients of all ages. Upon completion, you’ll be eligible for Long-Term Care and Home Health Care Nurse Aide certifications, proving your readiness to work in hospitals, nursing homes, hospice, and home health care settings.

Medical Assistant
Jumpstart your healthcare career with certifications as a Clinical Medical Assistant and Medication Administration Technician!
This program prepares students for careers as Clinical Medical Assistants and Medication Administration Technicians. You’ll learn to perform administrative and clinical tasks such as taking medical histories, explaining procedures, preparing patients for exams, and assisting doctors. Upon completion, students will meet the requirements to become certified as a Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) and/or a Medication Administration Technician (MAT). The program emphasizes continuing education and provides a strong foundation for advanced healthcare careers. Students must complete a semester of Medical Core to graduate from Meridian Technology Center.

Phlebotomy/EMS
Become a certified phlebotomy technician and explore emergency medicine!
This program prepares students to become certified phlebotomy technicians while introducing them to the fast-paced field of Emergency Medical Services (EMS). Phlebotomy training focuses on safely collecting and preparing lab specimens under medical supervision, with an emphasis on ethics and procedures. The EMS portion covers basic first aid, CPR, bleeding control, and patient stabilization, offering hands-on experience similar to EMS professionals. While the EMS training does not lead to certification, it provides valuable insight for students considering advanced healthcare or public safety careers. Upon completion, students are certified as phlebotomists and gain foundational EMS knowledge for future education. Medical Core is required to graduate from Meridian Technology Center.

Pre-Radiologic Technology
Start your radiology career with hands-on training and certification!
This program prepares students for entry-level roles in radiology labs as Limited Licensed Radiology Technologists (LLRT) or Radiology Aides. Through classroom and clinical training, students learn radiography fundamentals, patient care, image processing, positioning, radiation safety, medical terminology, and anatomy. Upon completion, students are eligible to test for the LLRT certification, equipping them to assist Radiologic Technologists in meeting patient needs. The program emphasizes continuing education for advanced radiology careers. Medical Core coursework is required to graduate from Meridian Technology Center.
