With the map the Oklahoma State School Boards Association released today showing an improvement in the COVID-19 levels among some of the counties Meridian serves, we felt it important to communicate with our families.
For now, Meridian will continue with a blended learning format. Of the five-county area we serve, three of those counties remain in Orange-2. Meridian has 10 area partner schools whose students attend classes on our campus, which factors into our decision-making as we work to keep the risk of the spread of COVID-19 as low as possible.
Meridian’s Emergency Response Team has been thoughtfully and diligently monitoring federal, state and local guidelines during this pandemic. We know this has been an unusual year that has required families and students to adapt. We appreciate your continued support and flexibility.
We continue to ask students, staff and visitors to follow the city of Stillwater’s face covering ordinance requiring coverings in public spaces and educational institutions. In addition, the following health and safety precautions are still in effect:
We are grateful for the work our staff has invested and for the flexibility our students and their families have shown in helping us create the safest possible learning environment.
Please know that our team meets regularly, and that we are doing our best to adapt as needed while keeping the safety of our students and staff at the forefront of our decision-making. We depend on a strong partnership with you to accomplish this. We are all in this together and are thankful for your support.
Sincerely,
Dr. Douglas Major
