College Credit

Northern Oklahoma College in Stillwater, Tonkawa and Enid offer an Associate of Applied – Technology Industry Certificates option where students take their general education and business courses at NOC and use any technical occupational coursework from Meridian to possibly satisfy up to 15-30 hours of elective credits. Students may seek college credit at NOC after full admission to the college and completion of 15 hours of college coursework, with successful completion of an approved MTC career major.

The knowledge and skills that students gain at Meridian may prepare them to earn prior learning credit toward a college degree at OSU IT. This can build toward an Associate of Applied Science or Bachelor of Technology.

The Associate of General Studies degree at Cowley was developed for students who have obtained career major hours from Meridian Technology Center. To be eligible for Cowley graduation, students must complete the general education requirements and transfer at least 600 career major hours or 32 technical credit hours to complete the technical requirement of this degree. A minimum of 15 credit hours must be completed at Cowley College in order for a degree to be granted. Students can also take advantage of Cowley College Fast Track dual enrollment program which lets you start earning college credit while still attending high school.
