Applications will be considered for all scholarships for which the criteria are met. The application is available and may be submitted through the Career Planning Center. ALLEN AND MAZIE TILLMAN SCHOLARSHIP
A scholarship to be awarded to a minority student who is enrolled in any full-time program at Meridian Technology Center. The recipient must be an American citizen, possess the ability to successfully complete the program and demonstrate financial need.
ANONYMOUS DONOR SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship will provide financial assistance for students to attend any full-time program at Meridian Technology Center. Recipient must possess the ability to successfully complete the program and demonstrate financial need.
DR. ANDREA MASON KELLY SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship will be awarded to a student enrolled in any full-time program at Meridian Technology Center who demonstrates financial need and the ability to benefit from the program.
ARMSTRONG SCHOLARSHIP
A scholarship for a graduating senior enrolling at Meridian Technology Center as an adult student in an advancing technology program (business & information technology, computer aided drafting, machine tool, manufacturing technology, pre-engineering technology, precision metal fabrication and welding technology). Recipient must possess the ability to successfully complete the program and demonstrate financial need.
BANCFIRST SCHOLARSHIP
A scholarship to be presented to a high school student in Guthrie and/or Stillwater who is a graduating senior enrolling at Meridian Technology Center as an adult student or will be a returning adult student in any full-time program. Recipient must possess the ability to successfully complete the program and demonstrate financial need.
THE BANK N.A. SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship will be awarded to a student enrolled in any training program at Meridian Technology Center and who shows potential for completing a chosen full-time program and promise for becoming a successful employee in the workforce. Preference will be given to a student enrolled in the business technology program who desires to enter the field of banking or financial services.
BANKERS GROUP
A scholarship to be presented to students in the business technology or information technology programs.
B.E. “EDGAR” GARRETT CARPENTRY SCHOLARSHIP
Preference for this scholarship will be given to qualified carpentry students. When no requests are submitted for scholarship assistance in the residential and commercial construction program, consideration for awards will be given to students in other programs of study, where the need is the greatest. Selection of recipients will be based on financial need and academic accomplishments. Recipients must demonstrate financial need and show the desire and potential to complete their chosen training program.
BRUNSWICK (MERCURY MARINE) SCHOLARSHIP
A scholarship will be awarded to a graduating high school senior enrolling at Meridian Technology Center in any full-time program as an adult student. Recipient must possess the ability to successfully complete the program and demonstrate financial need.
CATHERINE M. ATHERTON SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship will be presented to a female student enrolled full-time in the culinary arts program at Meridian Technology Center who demonstrates the ability to successfully complete the program in preparation for employment.
MR. AND MRS. CHARLES L. MILLER SCHOLARSHIP
Funds from this scholarship will be awarded to a student enrolled full-time in any program at Meridian Technology Center who demonstrates the ability to successfully complete the program in preparation for employment.
CHICKASAW TELECOMMUNICATIONS SERVICES ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship is designed for students enrolled in training programs utilized by business and industry. Selection will be based on the need for financial assistance as well as the ability of the student to successfully complete the program and gainfully enter the workforce.
CREC SCHOLARSHIP
A scholarship will be awarded to a student residing within the CREC service area who is enrolled in any full-time program at Meridian Technology Center. Recipient must possess the ability to successfully complete the program and demonstrate financial need. Preference is given to a student residing in the CREC service area.
DAVIS FARMS SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship will be awarded to a student enrolled in any training program at Meridian Technology Center who demonstrates financial need and the ability to benefit from the program.
DOUGLAS AND SANDY MAJOR SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship is to be awarded to a student attending a full-time training program at Meridian Technology Center who demonstrates a need for financial assistance. It may also be used for membership dues in student organizations. The recipient must possess the ability to successfully complete the program and enter the workforce
DR. ED SHREVE SCHOLARSHIP
Preference for this scholarship award will be given to students enrolled in industrial technology or manufacturing programs, particularly students preparing for careers in electronics. Recipients of this award should show potential for success in the workplace and demonstrate a need for financial assistance to further their education and training.
DR. FRANCIS T. TUTTLE
A scholarship will be awarded to a student attending any of Meridian Technology Center’s full-time programs. Recipients of this award should show potential for success in the workplace and demonstrate a need for financial assistance to further their education and training.
DR. FRED A. SHULTZ SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship will be awarded to a student demonstrating financial need and preference will be given to those students who have no funding from other sources. Recipients of this award should either be minority students, preparing for their GED, desiring career assessment or clients of the Pinnacle Program.
ELSIE MAE HESLEP GARRETT SCHOLARSHIP
Preference for selection of recipients will be given to qualified radiologic technology students. When no requests are submitted for that program, consideration for awards may be given to students in other programs of study, where the need is the greatest. Selection of recipients will be based on financial need and academic accomplishments. Recipients must demonstrate financial need and show the desire and potential to successfully complete their chosen training program and motivation to enter the workforce.
FISHER PROVENCE REALTORS, INC. SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship is awarded to students enrolled in any program at Meridian Technology Center. Funds are to be used only for educational purposes to help cover the costs of tuition, books, supplies and equipment for their chosen areas of study. Selection will be based on the need for financial assistance.
FLORENCE NELSON FAMILY TRUST SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship will be presented to a student enrolled in any training program at Meridian Technology Center who shows potential for completing a chosen full-time program and promise for becoming a successful employee in the workforce. Perkins students will receive first consideration for this scholarship.
FRIENDS OF THE FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP
This account was established to assist deserving students in any of the school’s full-time training programs.
GEORGE W. HALL/EXCHANGE BANK SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship was established to assist students who are in the business technology program. Preference will be given to students concentrating their training in the area of financial services.
JAMES E. AND EDWINA MORRISON BERRY SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship will be presented to a Native American student who is enrolled in any full-time training program at Meridian Technology Center. Recipient must demonstrate the ability to benefit from career training.
JAMES L. AND MARYANNA MARTIN SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship is to be used for a student from the Guthrie community and is based on financial need of the student, with academic performance also being a consideration.
JAMES ROTH SCHOLARSHIP
This account will provide financial assistance for students to attend any full-time program at Meridian Technology Center with funding being utilized for tuition, books and supplies. Preference is given to a Perry student. Funds may also be used for licensing/certification fees where necessitated.
DRS. JOE & SUE WILLIAMS SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship is awarded where most needed to assist financially limited students gain technical skills required for success in today’s workforce. Students must be enrolled in a full-time training program and demonstrate a desire to complete his or her training and seek employment in that field of study.
KENDALL CARLTON DURFEY MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship will be presented to a student enrolled in Meridian Technology Center’s industrial technology or information technology Programs. The recipient’s need for financial assistance, as well as his or her ability to successfully complete the program and gainfully enter the workforce, will be given preference.
KRISTI SHULTZ MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship will be presented to an adult student enrolled in a full-time program who demonstrates financial need and the ability to benefit from career training, with academic performance and leadership ability being a consideration.
LEE AND IVA BLAIR SUPERINTENDENT’S DISTINGUISHED SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship will be presented to an Oklahoma student for up to one year of training. The student must be enrolled in a full-time program at Meridian Technology Center and demonstrate high academic achievement and outstanding leadership ability.
L.G. “RED” KERNS SCHOLARSHIP
Students eligible to receive scholarship assistance must be enrolled in full-time training programs at Meridian Technology Center and must show promise for successful completion of the program and the desire to enter the workforce utilizing the skills learned.
LOUISE MALOY SCHOLARSHIP
Funds are to be used to assist high schools students when a critical need exists for students to purchase books, supplies and equipment for their chosen program of training at Meridian Technology Center.
LYNN AND BARBARA VICK SCHOLARSHIP
Funds are to assist adult students enrolled in the building trades programs who demonstrate the ability to successfully complete the program in preparation for employment.
MARY C. MAY SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship will be presented to a female enrolled as a full-time student in any program at Meridian Technology Center who demonstrates the ability to successfully complete the program in preparation for employment. Student must demonstrate a need for financial assistance. Funds may also be used for licensing/certification fees for women.
MAX, THELMA, AND MAXINE HANSON SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship will be presented to a student in any full-time training program at Meridian Technology Center who demonstrates financial need and the ability to benefit from the program.
MCGEE FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship is presented to financially limited Oklahoma women to gain training for entering the workforce. Students should be enrolled in a full time program at Meridian Technology Center.
MERIDIAN TECHNOLOGY CENTER BOARD OF EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP
Funds from this scholarship will be awarded to a student enrolled as a full-time student in any program at Meridian Technology Center who demonstrates the ability to successfully complete the program in preparation for employment.
MERIDIAN TECHNOLOGY CENTER STAFF SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship will be presented to a student enrolled full-time in any program at Meridian Technology Center who demonstrates the ability to successfully complete the program in preparation for employment.
PAYNE COUNTY BANK SCHOLARSHIP HONORING RICHARD “DICK” ROGERS
Preference for recipient selection of this scholarship will be given to students from the Perkins and Coyle areas desiring to acquire skills used in financially related services and/or general business. Recipient must demonstrate a strong desire for learning and show promise of success in the workforce.
PPG INDUSTRIES, INC. SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship will be presented to a student enrolled in the collision repair technology program. Scholarship funds are to be used for tuition and required
equipment and supplies.
RANDY & MELODY KELLOGG SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship will be awarded to a financially limited student enrolled in any full-time program at Meridian Technology Center. Academic performance will also be a consideration.
THE RAILROAD YARD SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship will be presented to a student enrolled as a full-time student in any program at Meridian Technology Center who demonstrates the ability to successfully complete the program in preparation for employment. Preference will be given to young men residing at the Oklahoma Lions Boys Ranch.
RICK & JAN MCSWAIN/CITIZENS STATE BANK SCHOLARSHIP
Funds from this scholarship may be used where most needed to assist students in full-time programs at Meridian Technology Center.
ROY & PHYLLIS LEAGHTY SCHOLARSHIP
Scholarship funds may be used for tuition, books, supplies and equipment by students who exhibit the potential for successful completion of their chosen full-time training program and success in the workplace. When a crucial need exists and upon recommendation of a student’s program instructor, funds may be used for skills competition and certification fees.
SPIRITBANK SCHOLARSHIP
Preference for recipient selection of this scholarship will be given to students from the communities where Spiritbank has a presence: Stillwater, Cushing, Oilton, Drumright, Depew, Stroud, Oklahoma City, Tulsa and Sapulpa. Students enrolled at Meridian Technology Center who acquire skills used in the fields of financial related services and/or general business may receive first consideration.
ST. FRANCIS XAVIER CATHOLIC CHURCH & ST. JOHN UNIVERSITY PARISH SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship will be awarded to a student enrolled in a full-time training program, based on the need for financial assistance as well as his or her ability to successfully complete the program and gainfully enter the workforce.
STILLWATER HOME BUILDERS ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP
Funds are to assist students enrolled in the building trades programs (air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical technology, residential and commercial construction or masonry). The awards may be used for books, tuition and supplies to attend the above programs.
STILLWATER NATIONAL BANK SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship will be awarded to students attending a full-time program who have a financial need and demonstrate a strong potential for success in the workplace. The use of scholarship funds is limited to providing tuition, books and supplies, or equipment for participation in the schools training programs for students from low to moderate income families. In special instances, proceeds from this account may be used for licensing/certification test fees for students who are completing their training program.
STILLWATER WOMAN'S CLUB SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship will be awarded to financial limited women enrolled in a full time program. Recipients must exhibit the potential for completion of their chosen training program and success in the workplace.
VONDA EVANS SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship will be awarded to women who are in critical need of funds for testing fees to obtain licensing/certification in their chosen field following the completion of a training program at Meridian Technology Center. The scholarship may also be awarded to women over 40 years of age who seek updated training for entry into today’s workforce.
W.F. “BILL” AND MARIE BERNHARDT SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship will be awarded to a current practical nursing student who has achieved a high academic standing in the program. Recipient must possess the ability to successfully complete the program and demonstrate financial need.
